About Gardens By Design

Alison J Sullivan is our qualified Garden Designer, registered with BALI and a member of the Royal Horticultural Society.

She holds a DBA and PGCE and specialises in listening to the needs of her clients, matching the aspirations of the client to the potential of the garden.

Our landscapers are qualified and insured, with many years experience of completing projects on time and on budget- however if you wish to manage the project yourself, we can provide you with your own hand drawn designs and personalised specifications for you to get the best value for money from your own chosen landscaper.

We are passionate about Eco friendly gardens, going much further than adding a compost area and space for preserving water. We design gardens that reduce our carbon footprint by using locally sourced materials, reduce and limit the waste removed from site, re use materials from within the garden and re cycle as much as possible. This provides wild life friendly spaces and specialist areas for healthy and active children whilst making sure you can rest at night with the benefit of knowing you have done your bit to help the environment.

When you have chosen your favourite concept we work closely with landscape contractors to ensure a seamless completion of the project and we also work with craftsmen and sculptors who can interpret your personal design feature to make your garden unique to you.
